Kodu for Kids The Official Guide to Creating Your Own Video Games James Floyd Kelly Books Reviews

  • I just ordered this to go along with my son's copy of the Kodu software that he got from DreamSpark.com. The book hasn't arrived yet, but if anyone is wondering whether or not their child will respond to the software, the answer is undoubtedly YES. If your child has even a fleeting interest in video game programming, they will be absorbed by the ease of use and the fun of instantly seeing results of your actions. And the book will show him "tips and tricks" as the description promises. Totally no regrets about this purchase.
  • My 11 year old has been really enjoying the kodu graphical language and he is programming all sorts of objects with different behaviors to make up his own games. I love that he enjoys it as much as he does right now. Can't wait to see what he does after a summer at Digipen this year.
  • My young kids are big fans of Kodu and this book has taught them a few things they didn't know.
  • My 8 yr old and I are reading it together to learn to make games together.
  • This is a great book that is easy for kids to read. My son loves games like Mine craft and Kodu teaches kids to program like that.
  • Is a great source for teachers and students. It use color pages and shows examles to do in your Computer or xbox.
  • This is a great book. I use it to familiarize myself with Kodu and then teach my grandson. Well written, good pictures.
  • It had great info and was amazing at helping me out to learn how to make video games in the future! I just wish i had more time to use this!
